What is EMDR?
EMDR therapy is a powerful healing approach that helps people overcome trauma, phobias, and distressing experiences. By harnessing the brain's natural healing abilities, EMDR enables clients to process and resolve painful memories in a safe environment. Through bilateral stimulation techniques, like eye movements or tapping, clients engage both sides of their brains to process and integrate emotions and negative beliefs. EMDR therapy reduces the intensity of distressing memories, emotions, and bodily sensations, facilitating accelerated healing. It's effective for conditions like PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more. EMDR empowers clients to release the past and embrace a brighter future. Start your healing journey today.
EMDR Intensives
While EMDR can be used and effective in traditional 55-minute weekly sessions, EMDR intensives can provide more efficient processing. Before beginning intensives the client will attend regular 55-minute sessions while the clinician gathers history and helps prepare the client for processing. During intensives, clients can often process multiple memories in the session and leave feeling relief. During this process, the client and clinician work collaboratively on creating the treatment plan, including ideal break times.
